The Abstract Of The Paper |
|
|
We report the nucleotide sequence of the binary vector pGA1611, which is used for transformation of a foreign DNA into rice. The vector is 13,476 bp long. The T-DNA region is 5,577 bp and consists of the 1987-bp ubiquitine promoter region, 45-bp the multiple cloning sites, 253-bp nos terminator region, and 2045-bp CaMV35S-hph-T7 chimaeric gene. The vector backbone is 7,004 bp and carries oriT, traJ, trfA, tetA, tetR and oriV. The 892-bp RB region and the 489-bp LB region are also present. There are 15 unique sites within T-DNA and six of them are at the multiple cloning site. This information will be valuable in cloning a foreign DNA and modifying the vector.
